Bow Builder Punch, In Class - February 2015

I was so disappointed when I had to cancel my January class due to illness.  But luckily, we rescheduled for February and had a wonderful first session back for 2015!  The first project we created was the love themed card I previously shared as part of the Creation Station blog hop in February (link here to see).

I borrowed the new Bow Builder punch from one of my fellow demos and used this on the second design for this class.  Stampin' Up! currently have a fabulous Sale-a-bration (SAB) promotion with lots of free goodies on offer.  I still had some of the gorgeous designer papers left over from last years SAB and chose to feature those with the pretty bow for this card.

The sentiment also comes from an exclusive SAB set, Lotus Blossom.

Creation Station - Valentines

The Creation Station blog hop is back for 2015!  Did you miss us? I inked up my Lovely Romance stamp set for the first time to create this design in honour of the hop's Valentines theme.  I've gone with some more masculine colours - Night of Navy and Sahara Sand, with little touches of Crisp Cantaloupe in the punched hearts.

Hoppy Easter - School Holiday Mini Session

A number of my regular class participants have crafty children who share their enthusiasm for card-making.  So I thought it would be fun to have a special school holiday mini class. With Easter just around the corner - what could be a better theme?

I invited everyone who was interested in attending, either alone or with their school aged child/children in tow.  There were two sets of projects, one for beginners and another more advanced, so there was something for both "Mum and me".

Participants each made one card and one little gift box.  The gift boxes were made with the recent Sale-a-bration Sweet Sorbet papers and the new Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board, following a fun tutorial I found at Pootles Papercraft.

All projects featured the Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set from the current Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Our young participants really impressed me with their engagement in the session - so much so that next time I'll make just one set of projects for all participants to complete.  I think they are up for it!

DIY Card Kit Challenge - February 2014

Pretty pastels, bold blacks and a touch of gold... this month's competition kit was inspired by the current Sale-A-Bration Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Papers! Voting is now open, please pop over to my facebook page and let me know which entry is your favourite. The designs are all so elegant and I think this will be the toughest one to judge yet!

Of course, I couldn't resist creating a card with this kit myself.  Here I've added a sentiment from the See Ya Later stamp set - also a freebie in the current Sale-A-Bration.
