The Crafty Carrot Co are sharing projects featuring the 'Geared Up Garage' Suite today.  These will be the star of our exclusive online classes next month!

Here at home, we are at the tail end of a long, hot, hectic Summer.  The kids have returned back to school and I'm reigniting my creativity with a little scrapbooking. The imagery in this suite fit wonderfully with this moment during our home renovation.  My husband is a carpenter by trade and is doing most of the work himself.  Our daughter has been fascinated by all the tools and has enjoyed spending time 'working' alongside her Dad.

Documenting this memory was particularly nice for me this week.  Our renovation progress is slow as we are fitting the improvements in around work and financial commitments.  It was reassuring to compare where we were a year ago when these pictures were taken, to where we are at now!

Notice the sentiment "to those who inspire us"?  This comes from the Sale-a-bration 'Part of my Story' stamp set.  Get in touch to learn more about how to this stamp set for FREE this month! The Crafty Carrot Co love a good set of versatile, beautiful sentiments and this set is no exception.  It really compliments and increases the versatility of the Geared Up Garage goodies.

Geared Up Garage, The Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

February 12, 2019

The Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team are back with another special "Snowflake Showcase" blog hop today.  The Snowflake Showcase promotion offers an exclusive set of products that are available for a limited time only.

Here in Australia, the weather is getting hotter as we approach the start of Summer.  To get inspired by these lovely snowflakes I brought my mind back to my most recent experience with snowflakes - my trip to Canada last November.

To get started, I stamped an entire piece of black cardstock randomly with snowflakes in white craft ink.  I used this as the main background for the traditional layout, then added a spray of Snowfall thinlet embellishments.

For the matching pocket scrapbook layout, I used just the stamps.

This gorgeous light grey patterned paper from the Petal Promenade has a lovely subtle icy look to it that I think works so well with these snowflakes.

Click the 'next' link below to see what the rest of the Artisan Design team have created with this incredible assortment of products.  Next up in the hop is Jessica Winter.

Snow is Glistening, Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

November 2, 2018

Welcome to another Artisan Design Team blog hop.  This month we are sharing the Petal Promenade suite.  Everything in this suite has such a lovely, soft, romantic feel to it and if you follow my work you'll know that is right up my alley!

I was really drawn to the pretty bokeh patterned paper from the Petal Promenade pack.  It immediately made me think of a sweet baby themed project.

So for my project today I created a scrapbook page.  I'm just so pleased I got a chance to print these adorable photos of my girl and relive the memories of her playful baby smiles through this creative endeavour.

Alongside the Beautiful Promenade stamped imagery, I mixed in some page titles, hand stamped using my fav alphabet sets - Lined and Labeller.

Be sure to click the next link below to see inspiration my Artisan friend Jessica Winter has to share today!

Beautiful Promenade, Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

September 21, 2018

Who says you can't have a pool party in the middle of winter!  My daughter had her heart set on a flamingo themed swimming party with her kinder friends this year. So grateful for our indoor heated pool complex. Turns out they have a really fun birthday package - it was a huge hit!

A special thanks to my lovely friend Tanya Rees for the loan of this Pop of Paradise stamp set!  Not only did it help Miss 5 to put together the theme she wanted, but it also meant I got the memories documented ASAP so I could return the stamps in good time! Thanks again for the loan, Tan!

I hope you've enjoyed this project!

Pieces of the Story, Let's Flamingle - 5th Birthday Celebrations

August 10, 2018

I printed these photos AGES ago but never got around to putting a layout together - until now!  I must have just been waiting for the perfect products to pair these party pictures with. I found that in the Broadway Birthday suite!

The Broadway Birthday stamp set is packed with staple birthday imagery - party hats, candles and balloons!  And it has coordinating dies that help you make embellishments in a flash, like this gold foil 'Wish' wording!

The Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper has bright party designs on one side, and all-occasion designs with gold foil on the other side!  I couldn't resist using this gold, black and grey 'confetti' for my layout base.

This suite is the star of this month's Artisan Design Team blog hop!  Be sure to click the next link below to see all the amazing birthday inspiration on offer.  Next up is the very talented Jessica Winter!

Broadway Birthday, Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

It's absolutely freezing cold here at the moment!  It brings back memories of the amazing Canadian adventure I had last November.  What better time to work some photos from this trip into my scrapbook!

For this page, I was inspired by the current sketch challenge over at Global Design Project. The clever Kerstin Kreis used the sketch for memory keeping - I love this!  I've never turned a card sketch into a scrapbook project before.  I had to adjust it a little to make it work with the number of pictures I wanted to feature and the 12" x 12" page size, but all-in-all I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I've featured a mix of supplies to bring this page together.  Imagery from the Waterfront stamp set, a  paper pattern from the Share What You Love designer series paper pack, and alphabets for the titles (Lined and Labeller Alphabets, and the Make a Difference stamp set).

Of course, I had too many photos not to add a matching pocket layout.

Friends, wine, a warm fire, a peaceful winter cabin in the snow... oh take me back!!

I hope you've enjoyed this project!

Pieces of the Story, Winter Magic

July 14, 2018

The Crafty Carrot Co team are excited to be featuring the En Route stamp set in our exclusive series of online classes next month!

I'm a scrapbooker so this set called to me with all it's perfect travel themed images.  But you'll see from the sentiments that it's perhaps slightly more versatile than first glance gives credit for.  Follow the blog hop and you'll find ideas for all kinds of papercrafts featuring this set!  Of course, join our class and you'll certainly be giving this set a workout throughout July!

My daughter got a brand new bike for Christmas last year.  I love that this blog hop gave me an excuse to print the photos and document the memory!  Her grandparents certainly spoil her and she just loved her new present.  The little bike imagery and sweet En Route sentiments made for the perfect embellishments!

For my colour scheme, I kept the Granite Gray from the coordinating Best Route Memories and More suite, but added Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape as they tied in perfectly with the photos.

The pink patterned paper comes from the new Garden Impressions designer series paper.  Like I've done here, you truly could add anything in your stash when playing along with us in class!  Wanna join us?  Oh I just know you do!  Simply subscribe today - full details here: http://craftycarrotcollective.blogspot.com.au/

We even have a super special guest, Sue Plote of ThisPinkRooster.com will be teaching a bonus session - that's five classes in total coming your way in July!

THE INSPIRATION CONTINUES...
