#TGIFc11 Christmas in July

When I first saw the TGIF sketch challenge for this week I immediately wanted to do a Christmas theme with my new Wondrous Wreath stamp set as the background circle.  Once that decision was made the rest of the card came together quite quickly.

I've used old olive, crumb cake, gold and vanilla as my colour scheme for this festive design.  I first stamped the wreath in green and then added a scatter of gold embossed leaves.  I love tags on cards!  This one is on a base of crumb cake and features the larger sentiment from the same wreath stamp set and the die cut 'joy' from the matching framelits.

I've used a little creative license in my inclusion of the banner element on the design, in the form of a strip of green ribbon and a layer of vintage lace running behind my tag.  To finish, I couldn't resist adding a little sequins and some pearls.

I hope you'll play along with us this week at TGIF challenges - can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this fun sketch!
