With Father's Day just around the corner I thought it fitting to feature a selection of male cards in class this month. The Well Worn Designer Series Paper is very masculine and provided a great platform for guiding the designs and colours of these three projects.
This first card uses imagery from The Open Seas Stamp Set available as of the 1st of September in the new 2012/13 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. Class participants were able to try their hand at colouring with sponge daubers to create the soft ocean scene.
The intial layout for this design was inspired by Michelle Last.
The instant I saw the brick wall paper I knew I wanted to create a design with some sort of 'graffiti' like feel. The stamps featured here are from the retiring Grunge Rock Set. The letters are die cut using the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet (also retiring).
This third card showcases the Just Surfing Stamp Set and the technique of applying StazOn White ink to window sheet to create the featured waved backdrop. We used the paper crimper to create the textured white background, another fabulous tool that is retiring this month!
All three cards have a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set. Class participants customised their designs with the sentiment that they wanted based on which events and men they were celebrating in their own lives in the near future.
