I created this collection of pretty handmade gift tags for a friend as a little thank you for referring a bride and groom looking for wedding stationary to me.  As a result of her referral I have secured my first wedding job and I can't wait to share the designs with you after their big day in October!

The tags were created in a mix of colours and featured butterflies and/or handmade flowers.   They were a wonderful avenue for using up some of the off-cut pieces of card and designer series paper I have accumulated.

Layouts inspired by these tags created by the talented Cari Fennell

In March I created an invitation and matching decorations for a 'garden party' themed 40th birthday celebration. The birthday girl wanted to send some matching thank you cards to all those who helped make the event so special for her.

I created these cards using the same pink colour scheme as the original invitations, with the handstamped floral feature from the invitations forming a subtle base for the layered butterfly.

Inside the card was a full colour digitally designed thank you message.

For more information about event stationary please do not hesitate to contact me.  CLICK HERE to see the original invitation and decorations.

40th Birthday Thank You's

Buttons, bows and butterflies - a happy birthday card in pink and purple for a special girl celebrating her first birthday this weekend.
I have added some movement to the banner with some carefully placed dimensionals and double sided tape.

Freshly Made Sketch #40

June 23, 2012

In this June's class, participants will create three floral designs with two cards showcasing images from the exclusive June promotional set 'Reason to Smile'.  For more information about this offer please see my previous post featuring the below card here.
It seemed appropriate with the cold weather setting in use a soft colour scheme with lots of neutrals accented with  a range of subtle blue tones.  The design below is my second creations using the Reason to Smile flowers.
The strip of blue patterned paper featured here is from the Cheerful Treat Designer Series Paper Pack from the hostess section of the current Stampin' Up! Catalogue.
The colours and layout of the third card I created to complete this set was inspired by the talented Pam Cetinich.  I wanted to feature some of the gorgeous flowers from the Awash with Flowers Set which will be retiring later this year and found this to be a beautiful way to showcase them.
This set of stamps is perfect for two step stamping.

All three projects are exclusive to this month's Class by Correspondence. If you have any questions or queries, or would like to order a kit, please don't hesitate to contact me.

A Reason To Smile

This sketch is particularly suited to showcasing a pretty piece of designer series paper.  I loved this design from Everyday Enchantment collection released during the recent Sale-A-Bration.  I added some Island Indigo into the mix of Pool Party and Lucky Limeade as featured in the paper.
A strip of transparent vellum around the bottom panels keeps the design true to the current Freshly Made Sketch challenge and provides a platform for the sentiment and butterfly without taking the focus away from the DSP.  I've finished with a little matching Lucky Limeade organza ribbon around the base.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set.

Another project featuring the pretty Everyday Enchantment DSP.  The faux bow at the bottom has one of the matching Everyday Enchantment brads at its centre.

The beautiful floral paper makes a nice backdrop for the layered Beautiful Wings Embosslit Butterfly featured.  A piece of linen thread around the centre of the butterfly creates a nice 'body' effect.
The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases Stamp Set.

The Everyday Enchantment products will no longer be available after the 31st of March.  Please contact me before this time to learn how you can get your hands on these gorgeous supplies for FREE.

Ang's invitations were based on her chosen theme of a garden party, which meant pretty flowers and lots of beautiful butterflies.  Her favourite colour is pink so this was chosen as the primary card backing with a range of pink and orange hues used in the main floral imagery and in the mix of butterflies.

Cheerful Beautiful Wings - January's Class by Correspondence

January 1, 2012

We were pleased to celebrate the second birthday of a gorgeous little girl on Friday.  I created this card especially with her in mind.  I used strips of Kaleidoscope Designer Series Papers (now retired) to incorporate a beautiful mix of oranges, greens, yellows, blues and pinks.
