Lollipop Halloween Treats, Jar of Haunts, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

Halloween party preparations are well underway at our house!  These little lollipops were super easy to make, my three-year-old and I had fun putting them together.

I took a tissue, cut it into quarters and stamped these eyes from the Jar of Haunts set on with Memento ink. Then I layered it over another full tissue, securing it to the top of the lollipop with some silver thread.

Jar of Haunts, Sketch Challenge, Labeller Alphabet, Stampin' Up!, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost, Halloween

So I gave into my sweet girl's requests for a little Halloween party!  That means I needed a few more spooky cards to serve as invitations.

I think sketches are a great basis for bringing designs together.  Here, I mixed the Jar of Haunts stamp set with this week's TGIF sketch.  The striped background was perfect for putting some strips of scrap patterned paper to good use!

You might not be able to see it too well in the picture but I've added a little crystal effects to the 'slime' on the jar for shiny, raised finish.
I look forward to sharing another Jar of Haunts project with you soon!  In the meantime, you can see my other designs with this set here.

#TGIFc76, Color Challenge, Halloween Card, Jar of Haunts, Witches Brew Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

When I saw this TGIF colour challenge I still had this week's Jar of Haunts project fresh in my mind and thought it would be a fun to make another Halloween-themed design!

I really liked the way the mummy jar turned out when stamped on crumb cake.  I coloured several of the bandages with blender pen and white craft ink.  I applied the ink quite heavily and the cardstock started to peel a little in places which I thought was a perfect effect for a 'fabric' look.

The cardstock started to peel a little which created a 'fabric' look - Jennifer Frost, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaI stamped an extra mummy on white card stock and fussy cut and layered other bandages in places to help brighten this feature.

I was inspired by our previous sewing challenge to pick up a needle and thread and add some dangling spiders to the top of the card.

I do hope you've enjoyed this card and that you are inspired to play along!

Jar of Haunts, Halloween, Artisan Design Team, Stampin' Up!, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

Halloween is not big here in Australia, but that hasn't stopped my three year old from telling everyone she is throwing a dress-up party!  She already has her costume picked out too - a pink princess, bless her!

Do to celebrate Halloween where you are?  If so, the Artisan Design Team are sure to get you into the spirit of this holiday today.  We are sharing projects featuring the spooky Jar of Haunts set.  I've created this card and gift set for the occasion.

When I saw this set, I imagined these fun jars and decor elements set out together on a Halloween party table.  I started with a crumb cake base and stamped the images together with black ink, masking in places as I went.  Then I applied colouring with blender pen and whisper white ink, before selectively layering extra colour over the top.  I decided to stamp the pumpkin on cardstock and fussy cut to achieve a full even orange tone.  Then I chose to stamp several of the images again on white cardstock and selectively fussy cut pieces out to bring a bit of brightness to the panel.

My hubby often laments over the growing collection of jars taking up residence in the top of our pantry!  I feel compelled to wash up and save glass jars, I love re-purposing them.  And of course, a little gift jar is a wonderful match for this stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the jar with StazOn Black ink.  I then added a little white scalloped circle to the lid to cover up some text that was printed on it, topped it with some stamped detail and finished with a bit of burlap ribbon.
