Sparkle and Shine, Bow Builder Punch, Petite Cafe Gift Bag, Engagement, Congratulations, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

The Beyonce tune "If you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it..." was playing in my mind when I put together these projects for the Artisan Design Team blog hop this month.

The theme of the hop is "Perfect Packaging".  I find it easiest to create packaging when I have a card to match a design to - so I started with this first.   I chose to feature the Sparkle and Shine stamp set to congratulate a bride to be.  I love that beautiful gemstone - perfect imagery to represent the ring the lucky lady just had put on her finger!

I created this matching gift tag complete with a Bow Builder black card bow and attached it to a Petite Café gift bag with a mini gold clothes peg to complete my package.

Sparkle and Shine, Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

I created these Save the Date cards for a couple getting married at a country retreat.  Simone and Gary wanted to give their guests plenty of notice for their upcoming nuptials so that they might make arrangements for the weekend away as early as possible.

The bride wanted the Save the Dates, and Wedding Suite to follow, to be simple, elegant, and country inspired.

There was quite a bit of information to include so I created these pocket style envelopes to house the panel with all the details inside.

I put together the pocket bases in white cardstock before handstamping the floral I Love Lace background in crumb cake ink on more white card and attaching this to the front.

The 'We're Getting Married' wording from the Bouquet Toss stamp set could not have been more perfect for this project.  I heat embossed it in black on crumb cake card before layering it over a pretty Tea Lace doily and adding a little white bakers twine bow to finish.

It's alway such an honour to be asked work on event stationary like this.  If you have any questions about this project, or are interested in an obligation free quote for your own invitation order, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Annalise and Adam had a navy blue and ivory colour scheme picked out for their Echuca wedding ceremony this month.  They wanted a folder style invitation with an internal pocket to hold the RSVP and wishing well inserts.

The small RSVP return envelop included was made with the Envelop Punch board, custom sized and handcrafted to fit in the pocket.

Adam's mother Sandra has been crafting with me since the beginning of my Stampin' Up! journey several years ago.  In honour of our shared crafty values, I wanted to add a hand-stamped element to the suite as I knew it would be appreciated.  I chose the flower from the Bouquet Toss stamp set and hand coloured it with Night of Navy blue blendability markers and touches of grey to fit in with the overall scheme.

The invitation was wrapped with a custom designed bellyband made using textured cardstock, a length of matching blue seam binding ribbon and finished with a die cut label featuring the invited guests names and date of the ceremony.

Annalise and Adam's Wedding Invitation Suite

I had the pleasure of designing the wedding invitations for Alix and David who celebrated their wedding earlier this month in a scenic Central Victorian country setting. The couple wanted their invitations to reflect the rustic beauty of the venue. The bride supplied me with some burlap ribbon and twine.  I combined these with simple and natural coloured cardstocks and design to create this invitation suite.

The suite consisted of three pieces, a custom designed invitation, directions card and wishing well. The direction and wishing well cards were slipped behind the invitation and secured with a bellyband made of the burlap and tied with natural twine.

The Stampin' Up! Bouquet Toss stamp set has a lovely 'Mr and Mrs' sentiment that I thought would be the perfect finishing touch to this project.  The tags were each handstamped and heat embossed in black lending a raised, shiny look to the image.

Tulips featured in Holly's wedding flowers and she wanted to incorporate matching floral imagery in her wedding stationary in the colours white, purple and soft teal.  The couple preferred a classic single-sided invitation base.  The pretty tulip was hand stamped on each invitation, the black outlining first and the two-tone purple flower head second.  Little pearl jewels decorated the flowers.  A grosgrain ribbon running across the bottom of the invitation with a little knot bow in the matching teal of the card base finished the design.

A relative provided Holly and Nick with this gorgeous little Wishing Well poem for them to send out with their invitations.  I formatted the text to match the design of the invitations and die cut the finished wishing well in this ornamental framelit shape.

Holly and Nick's bomboniere were these adorable little jam pots which doubled as table place cards.  I created the cute little tags to tie in with the other stationary.  I delivered the little tags to Holly and Nick in the below matching gift box.

Narelle and Shaun wanted an elegant, clean and simple wedding invitation suite in warm earthy brown colours.  I created a square invitation, die cut tag shaped wishing well note, and these coordinating place cards for their big day.

The invitations and place cards featured a twine ribbon with heat embossed sentiments 'love' and 'Mr & Mrs' on little gold tags.

Holly and Nick celebrate their wedding at the end of the month and asked me to create these cute little tags for their bomboniere.  I made this little gift box to package them.  The design was inspired by the current Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge (Bling, Wedding & an element repeated in 3) and coordinates perfectly with the couple's invitation which I look forward to sharing with you after their big day!

Created at the special request of a friend.  The heart is from Stampin' Up!'s I {heart} heats set which will be retiring with the release of the new catalogue in September.  The sentiment 'For the Newlyweds' is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Set.  It is very rare that I use non-Stampin' Up! imagery but I don't yet own a Stampin' Up! Wedding themed set so I loaned the Bride and Groom imagery and the sentiment border seen here from a crafty friend of mine.

The sketch was inspired by the current Mojo Monday Challenge.
Colour scheme inspired by the current Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

For the Newlyweds

On Saturday the 18th of February Loddon Mallee Kids (LMK) held their first fundraising ball.  I had the pleasure of creating the stationary for the event including tickets, table numbers, table place cards, menus and programs.

The committee wanted to create a very classy, elegant affair and chose the classic combination of black and silver for the theme for the ball. They wanted the tickets to really 'shine' so I gave the LMK logo a glittery silver make-over for the event and printed these on a thick shimmery white card stock which showed to advantage under lights.
The following photo is a glimpse of what the tables looked like all set up on the night. I created each table number in matching black with numbers die-cut in a silver glimmer cardstock.

The menus and table place cards incorporated matching fonts and glitter strips to the tickets with the LMK logo sitting quietly in the background.
The gorgeous centrepieces were from the Eternal Vase and Dean's Screenprinting created the silver and black drink holders for us.

It was a real treat to be involved in this event!  I hope to have the total raised from the evening to share with you soon.

Event Stationary - LMK Shine the Light on Premmies Ball

It is wedding season again and many of us have the pleasure of celebrating with friends and loved ones who are tying the knot this summer. I created this design with such an occasion in mind.

To have and to hold...

November 14, 2011

We celebrate a friend's engagement this weekend!  Our invitation to the event was in a shimmery white card, accented with bright pink and featuring the image of a bird on the front.  I used these elements to help guide my design for this card and the current Mojo Monday sketch as inspiration for the layout.

The colours are Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Melon Mambo.  The stamped imagery comes from the Stampin' Up! Stamp Set Always, which is now retired.

Congratulations Always
