Sometimes we all need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything in particular, but just to let us feel we are supported and cared about.  The Let's Get Hopping team are sharing card designs today to inspire you to send some love to someone you know who may be facing one of life's many rough patches.

I've pulled out some retired Stampin' Up! favourites for my project today.

Supplies
Stamps: Petal Palette, Part of the Story
Card: Whisper White
Paper:  Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (retired)
Ink: Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray
Accessories & Tools:  Stampin' Sponge, Big Shot, Petals and More Thinlets, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon, Pool Party Stampin' Blends, Pool Party and Silver Bakers Twine
Adhesives: Tombow Multi-purpose Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Double sided tape or SNAIL, Tear'n'Tape

I have all these gorgeous patterned papers that are just calling out to be made into projects.  This Fresh Florals pattern is so beautiful.  I decided to modify it a little though, sponging over the white background with some pool party for a softer look.  I've included the written instructions for this project below in case you want to make it along with me!

Step by Step

  1. Sponge pool party ink onto patterned panel 149 x 101mm.  Attach to front of folded white card base 149 x 202mm.
  2. Die cut whisper white rectangle 42mm wide.  Trim off one side.  Stamp sentiment in gray.  Add strip of ribbon to the bottom with Tear'n'Tape.  Attach to card front.
  3. Stamp leaf detail in lime on white.  Fussy cut and glue.
  4. Add a strip of Tear'n'Tape to attach some loops of twine over the leaves.
  5. Stamp bird in black ink on white card.  Add colour with Stampin' Blend markers.  Cut with coordinating die. Attach with dimensionals over the place where the twine is attached.

Words of Encouragement, Let's Get Hopping #22

July 15, 2019

My Crafty Carrot Co friends are blog hopping today to tease you with ideas featuring the beautiful Petal Palette goodies.  These will be featured throughout April in our exclusive series of online classes.

I've gone for a 'shabby chic' vibe today for this project with a messy splash of colour, lots of torn edges, sponging in sand to burnish the patterned paper, and a touch of vellum to soften the lot.

You are not going to want to miss the fun we have in store for you throughout April!  Our Stampin' Up! customers and downline team members join free.  Don't forget to use the current host code to qualify! Mine here, for Australian customers, is JBKSGNRG.

But of course, fellow demos and those who already have an awesome demo they love shopping with, are totally welcome in our community!  Simply subscribe, you won't regret it!

But don't take my word for it.  Here's what new subscriber, Kathy Brown, had to say following her first taste of the program this month:

"You guys! I happened upon a new blog and a new set of monthly online classes using Stampin' Up's fabulous products. I've been amazed by the fabulous creations of the individual design team members for years, but now they've joined forces to become the Craft Carrot Collective. The design team members are four past and present Stampin' Up Artisans so you know their work is top notch! But they've teamed up to give at least four online classes featuring Stampin' Up product every month. What could be better than learning from an Artisan Award Winner?! I've attended two classes so far this month and I'm thrilled with the little tips and tricks I've learned."

Petal Palette, Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

March 13, 2018

Our supermarket shelves are packed full of chocolately Easter temptation.  With the holiday just a month away, it's a great time for us crafty types to start putting some handmade gift plans together!

Today, the Let's Get Hopping team have some adorable and delicious inspiration to help you do just that.

With all I've learned about food these past few years, I feel super uncomfortable thinking about what actually lurks inside all those foil-wrapped eggs on the supermarket shelves.  For this reason, I'm sharing a refined sugar-free chocolate treat for my project today.  These totally addictive Nut-Free Cacao & Coconut Bliss Balls use healthier unprocessed ingredients, are super easy to put together and taste amazing!

Process 1.5 cups (145g) rolled oats, 3 tbs cacao powder, 12 pitted fresh dates (I used medjool), 1.5 cups (120g) desiccated coconut and 2 tbs rice malt syrup in a food processor until almost smooth and well combined.  Add a tsp or two of water at a time if not quite wet enough.  Place 3 tbs desiccated coconut on a plate.  Roll 1 tbs portions of mixture into balls.  You should get about 30 balls (if you don't eat too much of the mix as you are rolling lol...)  Roll in coconut to evenly coat.  Place in a lined tray in the fridge for 1 hour or until set.  Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

I've also upcycled a small plastic berry container for the gift box.  As I shared last month when I published *THIS* set of gift cards, buying single-use plastic packaging makes me feel terrible!  Repurposing the containers for gifts such as these gives an otherwise wasted piece of perfectly good packaging new life!

I stamped the pretty flower from the Petal Palette stamp set in black ink.  Then masked it and applied a soft halo of inks using an aqua painter.  I removed the mask and coloured my flower with watercolour pencils and blended with the aqua painter again.  The sentiment comes from the ever versatile Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.

I hope that you've enjoyed this Easter treat idea!  Be sure to click the next button below to see what delicious inspiration my friend Carolynn has for you.

Love the Petal Palette imagery used in this project?  So do the Crafty Carrot Co crew!  It will be the feature of our exclusive class series throughout April.  Be sure to pop back later this month to see what inspiration we have to share with you for this pretty set!
