A Merry Wish Scrapbook layout, Christmas, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost, Wondrous Wreath, Letters to Santa DSP, Stampin' Up! Classes Bendigo

I'm back today with another Christmas scrapbook layout.  This time I chose to use more traditional reds and greens, with a little crumb cake. I had a stash of now retired Letters to Santa patterned paper lying around and this project was the perfect excuse to put some of these to use.

While in my previous layout I went with Christmas tree imagery, I decided to use the Wondrous Wreaths stamp set for these pages.  On the crumb cake bottom section of the traditional 12 x 12" layout I stamped the Wreath spots all over in whisper white ink.

I created a little card in the pocket scrapbook layout with the same spots in white on crumb cake.  The sentiment featured here is from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set.

Over the weekend I ran another scrapbook class, this time featuring a New Years celebration theme.  I look forward to sharing this with you soon.

Pieces of the Story, A Merry Wish

I featured the pretty Birthday Bouquet designer series papers in my last class.  We heat embossed the Birthday Blooms sentiment on a panel of pool party for this first project.  The pool party glitter ribbon was fan folded on Tear and Tape adhesive before being layered over with the balloon patterned paper and an extra strip of the Tear and Tape adhesive.

The reverse side of this balloon pattern is dots.  Participants had the choice of creating the following design with either pool party or blushing bride as the core colour.  I added a little black and white for contrast and to help those main colours pop.  The sentiment is from the new Enjoy the Little Things stamp set.  I chose it as it fit so well inside the fun frames embossing folder.

Our last project was very feminine.  We fussy cut flowers from the designer papers to decorate this card.  The base is blushing bride with decorative dots textured embossing.

My next class is scheduled for this coming Saturday and will feature some of my Artisan designs. I would love to hear from you if you would like to register your interest in attending!  More details on the projects to be shared on my facebook page soon.

Birthday Blooms meets Birthday Bouquet, In Class - January 2016

February 9, 2016

No Christmas party would be complete without presents!  I held my last paper-crafting class for the year at the end of November and I put together these little gifts for all attending participants.  Inside was a mystery pack of 4"x 6"designer series paper.

Each gift tag had a Christmas tree from the Peaceful Pines stamp set and stamped ornaments in gold and a feature colour.  No two tags featured the same colour.  I used up pieces of now retired ribbon and off-cuts of patterned papers in matching tones to embellish and individualize each tag.

Participants got to choose which colour they were drawn to most.  Once everyone had chosen their gift I revealed another little surprise.

The ribbon on the tag they had chosen coordinated with another mystery gift!

I am yet to finalise my class schedule for 2016 but hope to have the first dates available following my Sale-A-Bration party on the 3rd of January.  For more information about this party or to receive updates about upcoming classes please get in touch to join the e-mailing list.  It's always a pleasure to hear from you.

A Merry Wish, Class Gifts

December 22, 2015

It's time for the monthly TGIF remix challenge.  I chose to combine this month's sketch and the crushed curry, cajun craze and soft suede colour scheme.  As it happens, I didn't have crushed curry in my collection so I've substituted with hello honey in this design.

I've featured the largest of the butterflies from the Watercolour Wings set.  I love the way the warm tones have come together in this pretty butterfly.  In the background I've added the Everything Eleanor flourish and a strip of English Garden DSP.  This particular paper has a pattern of stripes that have a slightly ombre look to them.

Notice the sentiment?  It's a sneak peek of the brand new Enjoy the Little Things stamp set that I was lucky enough to pick up at the OnStage Convention earlier this month.  I've mimicked the ombre look in my stamping to tie in with the pattern in the paper.

To finish I've added a spray of pearls and some loops of bakers twine.

I hope that you've enjoyed this project and it gets you inspired to play along with our challenge. Be sure to pop on over to the TGIF challenge site and share your creations!
