Sketch Challenge, Fancy Friday Blog Hop

I love my parents.

No really, they are just the BEST!

If you had told me this time last year that I would go to Canada to meet my Artisan friends, I'd never have believed it possible!  It's rare that I get away on my own, let alone travel to the opposite end of the globe!  But my amazing Mum and Dad stepped in and invited my kids to stay with them in their home for the nine days I'd be away so that it could happen.

There are no words for how grateful I am!

No automatic alt text available. The fabulous Allison Okamitsu had just about every stamp set available for us to play with at her crafting retreat.  Whilst flicking through her stamp collection, I was drawn to the At Home with You set.

I wanted to make a special card for my parents and it seemed like the perfect fit!

I used today's Fancy Friday sketch and modelled the front door scene off my parent's actual home for this design.

The red brick texture was made using textured embossing paste which I'd coloured with a little Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze ink refills.  Such a fun technique!

I hope that you enjoy this project.  If you're inspired, play along with the sketch - we would love to see your creation!
