I started with a Hello Honey and Night of Navy colour combination in mind. I inked up my World Map background stamp for the first time in the yellow tone and sponged on some blues before spritzing with a little water and stamping onto white. What a ended up with was an interesting background in a range of yellows, greens and blues. I die cut a circle from the background and added it to some patterned Night of Navy paper and splashes of new in-colours Tip Top Taupe and Cucumber Crush.
The tag features the birthday sentiment from the Butterfly Basics set. For me, the fonts have a bit of a old-world/nautical feel to them and worked in perfectly for this theme.
When the current Creation Station challenge called for a Father's Day card I happened to have the remaining piece of the World Map background still on desk. It was an interesting challenge to come up with a card using this leftover piece.
I went with a very similar colour scheme but this time instead of Hello Honey I went with the darker tones of in-colour Delightful Dijon. The green is a bit deeper than Cucumber Crush, a strip of retired Gumball Green from my off-cuts stash. I've gone with a Night of Navy tag and added a Happy Father's Day greeting from the versatile Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.
