Confetti, it's all the rage! It's also the theme for this round of the Creation Station blog hop. I based this design around a piece of the Lullaby Designer Series papers that I thought had a confetti feel to it. I've added a vellum pocket filled with actual confetti I've created using small circles punched from matching coloured cardstock and gold sequins.
On the front of this pocket I've added a cute rhino from the Zoo Babies stamp set. He is wearing a party hat stamped from the Sketched Birthday set. I trimmed the hat a little so it was just the right size for him.
The sentiment comes from the Geometrical stamp set. I initially stamped it in black and then changed my mind and decided to go with Soft Suede instead - this meant handcutting each letter out and sticking it over the top but I actually like the effect. I've added a little exclamation mark to centre the sentiment better below the banner.
For this second design, I've featured some of our brand new in-colours - Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. The faux watercolour look comes courtesy from the Work of Art stamp set. I've double stamped each colour here to create a slightly layered look. Then I embossed the cake from the Sketched Birthday set alongside this cute sentiment from Yippee-Skippee!
In keeping with the confetti theme, I've added a spray of punch cut circles - and a few love hearts too - from matching cardstock, made using the Owl punch. There are a few sequins thrown into the mix for good measure!
I hope that you have enjoyed these designs. Don't be shy, be kind and comment if so! I love hearing from you. Now be sure to hop over to see what the rest of the Creation Station team have created!
CUTE for the first card, clever for the second card and both the colour combos rock.
