Our blog hop today is an excuse for us to get a little 'warm up' play with the stamp set.

Recently I've been thinking a lot about how important self-care is. Cold winter air outdoors and heated rooms indoors can strip your skin of much-needed moisture. Viruses are more common at this time too, leaving us feeling off colour. It seemed like the perfect time to focus on a little self-care project. So in my at-home class earlier this month I shared some spa inspired gifts. An invigorating sugar scrub and some relaxing bath salts, perfect for nourishing our skin and enticing us to take a bit of extra time for ourselves this winter. I couldn't resist adding gift tags featuring this fun, new stamp set!

And I enjoyed making a matching card. This design was inspired by one of the beautiful new Annual catalogue samples.

Earlier this year, I shared one of our family's favourite breakfast cereal recipes - this delicious 'Muesli Bar Muesli'. I'm back today to share another personal favourite, Chunky Cacao Granola.

It's seriously my favourite breakfast! Often when I make up a big batch I'll throw some into a jar to gift to a friend. Hence my sharing today - I've had quite a few requests for the recipe!

CHUNKY CACAO GRANOLA

Note, I use the below as loose guidelines when making up a batch - I adjust to what is in my pantry at the time and I kinda guess my measurements but it always works out beautifully!

Preheat oven to 180c (or 160c) fan forced.

In a large roasting pan, combine:
- 750g rolled oats
- 200g flaked coconut
- 200g raw buckwheat
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup pepitas
- 150g macadamias
- 150g hazelnuts
In a small saucepan, add:
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
3/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp vanilla essense
3/4 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup rice malt syrup
gently warm and stir until combined.

Stir oil mix through granola a little at a time until all the ingredients are evenly coated.

Put in the oven for 10 minutes. Toss and cook for a further 10 minutes. Toss again and cook for a further 5 - 10 minutes until evenly toasted.

Allow to cool and then store in an airtight container - or glass jar!

CARD AND GIFT TAG

I've decorated this card and tag with the sweet Bella & Friends puppy. The colour scheme was guided by the Naturally Eclectic patterned papers. The design was a fun class card for getting participants colouring with Stampin' Write Markers. Follow the process yourself at home with this quick video tutorial *HERE*!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Bella and Friends, Thoughtful Banners
Card: Whisper White, Soft Sky, Naturally Eclectic
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand
Tools and Accessories: Stampin' Write Markers (Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron, Night of Navy, Emerald Envy), Blender Pen, Ruffle Ribbon, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Cheerful Tags Thinlets (retired)
Adhesives: SNAIL adhesive (or double sided tape), Tear and Tape, Stampin' Dimensionals

Helping Me Grow, Boxed Gift Set of Cards, Stampin' Up!, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost, In Color Paper Stack, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe

The Helping Me Grow set has so many words for expressing gratitude and pretty layering elements to decorate with. It lent itself perfectly to creating this little gift set of cards.

Autumn was in full swing here in Australia as I was putting this project together. I was inspired by all the greens and golds in choosing the delightful dijon, cucumber crush and tip top taupe colour scheme.

I really like how the flowers look when stamped in full, but it was fun to use a little masking to vary up the designs. The idea to do this was inspired by the talented Teneale Williams.

When I completed the matching set of cards, I thought it would be nice to create a gift box for the collection too. It's always great to have a little thank you gift like this on hand!

Helping Me Grow Gift Set, Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Kindergarten is coming to an end for my son and I'm a little sad that we will be saying goodbye to so many teachers who have been a part of our journey over the last few years. I put together these little Sticky Note holder thank you gifts - I wonder if they will pop them up on their desks and remember Mr J as they makes notes during their busy days.

Because I had to make quite a few, I wanted to keep the design clean and simple. I find using designer series patterned papers are a great way to incorporate lots of colour without having to do lots of stamping. I've chosen to feature the English Garden papers here, framing them with the largest of the Bold Butterfly dies.

I love that these sticky note holders fold down flat, with the the cover popping up easel style to sit up on and decorate the desk.

It took a while to get the template right, I hope to have a tutorial ready to share with you soon! What teacher gift idea did you decide to go with this year?
