Easter Treat Boxes

The excitement of the Easter holidays is behind us now but I wanted to share with you these cute treat boxes I made as gifts for some friends and family this year.

The boxes were made with the Envelope Punch Board following THIS wonderful tutorial by Debbie Henderson. I used some retired papers from a pack called Beau Chateau.  Love the soft pastel tones!

The boxes were just the perfect size to hold a handful of little chocolates.

In Class - July 2014

I'm loving how versatile the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board is.  I wanted to share this fun tool in class so we had a session that moved away from the usual three card format and made a punch board box and a set of gift cards with envelopes instead.  

The three gift cards feature the newly released 'Hello Love' hostess set from the annual catalogue and papers from the Lullaby Designer Series Papers pack.

When designing the gift cards I had to use a lot of restraint to stop myself from over-embellishing them in an effort to keep the cards fairly flat so they would all fit nicely in the box. 

We used the Envelop Punch Board to create three matching envelopes for the cards, as well as the box itself.

Hoppy Easter - School Holiday Mini Session

A number of my regular class participants have crafty children who share their enthusiasm for card-making.  So I thought it would be fun to have a special school holiday mini class. With Easter just around the corner - what could be a better theme?

I invited everyone who was interested in attending, either alone or with their school aged child/children in tow.  There were two sets of projects, one for beginners and another more advanced, so there was something for both "Mum and me".

Participants each made one card and one little gift box.  The gift boxes were made with the recent Sale-a-bration Sweet Sorbet papers and the new Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board, following a fun tutorial I found at Pootles Papercraft.

All projects featured the Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set from the current Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Our young participants really impressed me with their engagement in the session - so much so that next time I'll make just one set of projects for all participants to complete.  I think they are up for it!
