#TGIFc51, Shine On Designer Series Paper, Sparkle and Shine, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

It's all things sparkly over at the TGIF challenge blog this week. The Shine On Designer Series Papers were an obvious choice for this luminous theme! I paired it with the sentiment from the coordinating Sparkle and Shine stamp set. The 'Congrats' is heat embossed in white on pear cardstock. I felt like it needed a little something extra so I daubed a little of the brighter cucumber crush through the centre of the word to help it stand out a bit more.

I added a little extra shine with a pretty Iced Rhinestone and a silver Metallic Foil doily.

Although summer has come to an end, we can always enjoy the memories of sunshine and sand all year round with seaside themed stamps - such as this detailed starfish from the Picture Perfect stamp set. For today's project I've stamped the starfish in coral calypso and layered it over a little bermuda bay frame from the Helping Me Grow set.

Other layered elements include a little swatch of burlap, a rectangle of Shine On designer series paper pack in bermuda and kraft, some patterned coral calypso and a background of exclusive Sale-a-bration Perfectly Artistic designer papers.

In keeping with the colour challenge I had to add a little wisteria wonder into the mix. I did this in the sentiment and touch of twine.

#TGIFc49 Picture Perfect Starfish

Shine On DSP, Balloon Celebrations, Sunburst Sayings, Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop, Papercraft by Jennifer Frost

The vibrant Shine On designer series papers really shine! Printed on kraft paper, the silver foil patterns just gleam and add a little luxury to any project - whether for a wedding or birthday!

For this birthday card I featured silver embossed balloons from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set. I felt like the cloud Shine On pattern was a great fit for these balloons. However, I wanted to add a touch of white to the pattern to help it tie in with the rest of the design. Denita Wright shared a lovely project recently where she had outlined her clouds in white gel pen and I just loved how this turned out so I borrowed the technique.

I paired this with the mixed font sentiment from Sunburst Sayings and embellished with a little silver thread and an Iced Rhinestone.

For my second project I chose sentiments that might suit a wedding, but it could also be a birthday, graduation or even an anniversary card.

For the background I die cut the Sunburst from sahara sand and layered over the white card base before adding a panel of vellum to soften it. I chose the dotted Shine On pattern for this project and instead of balloons, used elements from the Balloon Celebrations set to create a silver heat embossed dandelion.

I put the Picture Perfect stamp set to work in creating this card for an Occasions catalogue swap I was invited to participate in recently. I decided to go a little shabby chic with lots of layering, some torn edges and a touch of lace.

I layered the pretty hummingbird in black, watermelon wonder and hello honey. The rose is tones of honey with some delightful dijon shadowing. I love the Shine On designer papers with their vibrant colour on kraft patterns. A little strip of this watermelon triangle pattern added just the right amount of red to tie in with the matching tone in my bird.
