Yes, another Kimono Kid lol... This time for a 2nd birthday we are celebrating next month.  The birthday girl in question wants a blue party so I chose a Japanese paper pattern with a blue base and added some rich razzleberry purple and soft yellow papers to coordinate with the butterflies in the pattern to finish the design.

The layout was inspired by the current Mojo Monday sketch.  I have simplified the sketch a little as I thought  less was more in this instance.

I'm still playing with the Kimono Kids Stamp Set (now retired) and some beautiful authentic Japanese papers I've had for a long time.  This design was inspired by the current layout challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  Loving the touches of gold in this particular paper pattern.

Kimono Kids #2

A very long time ago I received some beautiful authentic Japanese origami papers, a gift from some visiting Japanese students.  I recently picked up the now retired Kimono Kids Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!.  I thought these stamps and papers combined would make some very pretty girl cards.

This is the first design of many I hope to make!  The layout has been inspired by the current Retro Sketches Challenge (#63).
