This week's TGIF theme challenge is 'Together Forever'.  The Something to Say stamp set has some wonderful sentiment pairs.  The one featured here is great for designs celebrating marriages and anniversaries.   I wanted to match it with the very elegant Everything Eleanor imagery and my new favourite in-colour Mint Macaron.  All I needed was a great sketch to bring it all together.  The INKspired Artist’s blog hop came to the rescue this week.  Their creations popped up on my Pinterest feed and I thought the lovely banner design would work wonderfully.

Of course, with a matching sentiment I had to do a matching internal design.

I hope you will join us in playing along this week - I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this TGIF Challenge!

Together Forever #TGIFc08

A friend has loaned me an adorable set called Nursery Times, now retired.  It has such gorgeous imagery I couldn't wait to have a play with it.  I thought this cute little 'Cow jumps over the moon'  stamp would make for a lovely new baby card.

I've drawn the design together using the current Mojo Monday sketch.

And the cow jumped over the moon...

Participants did a little creative die cutting in this month's class.  This technique is called "inlay die cutting".  What you end up with is essentially a smooth surface.

The colours were inspired by a recent wedding project I completed.  I had several off-cut strips of cardstock and compiled these in a striped pattern to create my own patterned paper.  We then cut the oval from this, followed by the tall feather from the middle.  The leftover tall striped feather was set aside to be used in another of the cards featured in the session.

The stamped feathers, from the Four Feathers set, were stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, then die cut.  The tall stamped feather was inserted in the frame created in the oval before the smaller feather was cut and layered in place - all the pieces slotted in flat like a puzzle.

The sentiment comes from the Something to Say set.  It was also stamped on an off-cut strip and then shaped into a banner.

Four Feathers, In Class #1 - November 2014

In this round of the Creation Station blog hop we are celebrating weddings!

I like creating custom wedding cards that tie in with the invitations and colours chosen by the bride and groom for the occasion. But as I don't have any weddings coming up, I've gone with one of my favourite colour schemes - mocha and rouge.  I got my hands on the brand new Blendabilities markers this week! These flowers from the retiring Secret Garden set were perfect for colouring with these, and oh my... so much fun!

The sentiments are from the Something to Say set, also from the new catalogue!

Only one project this round!  I hope that you have enjoyed this design.  Now be sure to hop over to see what the rest of the design team have created!

The layout for this design was inspired by the current sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.
