Large Font Love, Fancy Friday Blog Hop

The Fancy Friday team are sharing some inspiration for putting large font sentiment stamps to use.  For my project, I went with a scrapbook layout featuring "live laugh love" from the Layering Love set.

I fussy cut around the sentiment and layered it amongst the other elements to lend a little interest to the page.

In my journaling, I incorporated some of the Tabs for Everything words amongst my notes.

I often make my layouts to suit a double spread and today's project is no different.  I designed it to suit this pocket page spread.  As you can see, I'm still working through my 'Moments like these' project life card kit (now retired).

Pieces & Patterns, Greeting Card

I'm excitedly preparing for my local 'new catalogue launch party' event coming up this Saturday.  As part of this event, my co-hosts and I are putting together some displays.  I'm creating a party themed display featuring, you guessed it, the brand new Pieces & Patterns stamp set.

The layout for this card was inspired by the current Global Design Project challenge.  It also happens to be a perfect fit for the TGIF Challenge "Let's here it for the boys" theme this week.

For those of you who follow my blog, you may have spotted that this project matches the party favour tags I shared last week as part of the Crafty Carrot Co July teaser blog hop.

Pieces & Patterns, The Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

The Pieces & Patterns stamp set was one of the first brand new products to catch my eye in the just released 2017-2019 annual Stampin' Up! catalogue. I'm so glad the Crafty Carrot Co team choose this playful set as the product focus for the July rewards program.  It's got such delightful imagery - perfect for fun-loving children or adults alike!

Cake Crazy, The Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

Hi there!  Welcome to the Crafty Carrot Collective Cake Crazy Blog Hop!  This stamp set is our product focus for our global Stampin' Up! customer rewards program next month so we are giving you a little teaser of what we can do with the set. I say 'teaser' because these are not our reward projects – those we save especially for our customer's eyes only in our exclusive Cake Crazy Facebook Group – but they give you a little idea of how fun this product can be!

For my project today, I stamped the cake layers in Memento black, applied clear embossing powder and heat set. Then I used my Watercolor Pencils to draw in some background colour which I washed over with my aqua painter.  The Watercolor Pencils are on our additional, optional recommended shopping list for the month.  As are the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishments, which is where the twine and tassels on this project come from. Flirty Flamingo - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

From blushing bride to melon mambo, pink tones are fun, feminine and romantic!

I chose to play with the bright flirty flamingo from Stampin' Up!'s in-colour collection for today's Fancy Friday 'Think Pink' blog hop.

Watercolour effects are very trendy in cardmaking right now. This project features a fun, easy watercolouring technique inspired by *THIS TUTORIAL* from the talented Cindy Schuster.

When you create a fun background like this you want it to stand out!  When planning the rest of the design, I was cautious to choose elements that would allow this watercoloured panel to shine.  The Bold Butterfly shape added interest.  The black and white strips added some contrast and allowed the little Ready to Pop sentiment to stand out without covering the main panel too much.

The little flourish thinlet flower was a nice finishing touch!
