In Class - September 2013

I have missed having classes and was so glad to be able to hold one again over the weekend after several months off. A massive thank you to Lisa Taylor for opening up her home and hosting the class for us! xox

We did make three projects but I will just be sharing two of them here with you on the blog today.

This first project incorporates two of the beautiful new Stampin' Up! in-colours Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.  Feathers are trendy at the moment.  Here they have been heat embossed in clear on Whisper White and then coloured with brayer and sponged on the top and bottom with different tones to create a graduating colour effect. The tea lace paper doilies make a pretty and cost effective embellishment.

The little Vintage Faceted Designer button threaded with a twine bow finished the design nicely.  The sentiment comes from the One in a Million Stamp set.  The same stamp sets were used to create this next design also.

Here we clear embossed the sentiment and feather on a Top Note Die shape cut from glossy white paper. The glossy paper lends itself perfectly to colouring and blending.  Here we brayered with Pistachio Pudding first then layered over spots of colour in Coastal Cabana, Gumball Green and Island Indigo with sponge daubers.  Again, a vintage faceted designer button and some bakers twine completed the design.

If you have any questions about these projects or about future class dates please don't hesitate to contact me.
